Is there any meaningful difference in protection between Bitdefender Family Pack and Total Security? I see currently bestbuy.ca has 10 users 1 year total security for $50, but the family pack is 15 users and 2 years for $60. Obviously, the family pack is currently a better deal, but does the total security version have some security features or anything else that the family pack version does not have?

The protection level offered by Bitdefender Family Pack and Total Security is essentially the same. The Family Pack is essentially a version of Total Security that covers more devices. It's designed for households with multiple devices. So, no, Total Security doesn't have any additional security features that the Family Pack does not have. The choice between the two would depend on how many devices you need to protect.
