BitDefender install / Windows Defender

Hi, About the install of BitDefender, is it recommended to put down Windows Defender first or at least some of its functions ? Or can they run concurrently ?

Bitdefender, as would anty Antivirus software, will take care of that for you. No need to worry about it. No they cannot run concurrently, Bitdefender will turn off Defender once it has completed installing on your system.

It is never good to run 2 antivirus programs together. Bitdefender is much better than Windows defender and therefore no need for Windows defender.

Windows 10 will turn off windows defender if any antivirus is installed and will automatically turn on in case antivirus subscription expires or turn off. Windows defender is not a bad antivirus as everyone tries to show it because not everyone gets attacked by 0-day exploit or threats. Windows defender combined with smart screen provides the perfect solution to the people who don't want to use third-party antivirus.
