First two tries even with VPN was not successful.
I then changed my system time also, that did the trick. May be they are also tracking that.

Maybe a system specific event...?.When I used it ram was about 200MB.

Sometimes the memory leak issue could be resolved by reinstalling. It can be caused by a corrupted installation
On my machine, BD eats RAM up to 1 GB when scanning at HIGH priority, and up to 400 MB when idle.

With 4gb ram my opinion is that you should not use Bitdefender. Bitdefender still ram eater. For your system i suggest COMODO cloud , 360TSE, Avira free , AVG free tweaked or ESET nod32

i have 8GB max, BD eats me 4GB what means: Half RAM or 50:50. What about that false-positive AVAST?
