I guess the way I saw it, if there is no locking after inactivity there can be no unlocking. Meaning, if that option is not checked it won't lock due to inactivity. Without that checked your time options are greyed out. That being the case, I'd prefer to have to re-enter my master password rather than use a pin.

Understood.... Not a fan of reentering one's password constantly per se, NordPass does this, at least on mobile, and pin code unlocking is not an option.
Understandably your master password is MUCH more secure.

On this point, Bitwarden also has a Send feature, which can be used to share password on an ad-hoc and temporary basis, which can be done in a free plan. Sharing on a permanent basis requires being in the same organization together, with 2 accounts/persons allowed on a free plan.

Family sharing is the reason my wife and I use 1Password.

Going to run this one past you all. Have them both (paid), and love them. Use BitWarden on desktop, and ProtonPass on iPhone.
Which, if any, are you running? and which of these two do you recommend? The good, the bad, likes, dislikes. Let's hear your comments.

Biometrics are an option on Mobile and supported PCs. PINs and Passwords can be copied.

I would definitely go with Bitwarden because it is open source and more flexible than others. I can host it myself or use the cloud version. And with the cloud version I can choose between European servers or US bases.

And when it comes to sharing, I only share passwords with colleagues in my company or my family and with the paid version I have specific vaults shared with each person or groups. Secure, simple and open source.

Both Proton Pass and Bitwarden are open source. But, Bitwarden has far more people watching the code like hawks and reporting any vulnerabilities sooner. Other password managers don't have as big of a following for code review so the risk is higher.

Most of the well-known password managers do the same job and have the same features. Its often just a case of the user interface being different.

Bitwarden (free) has lots of features and is enough for many people. Premium has even more features (including the ability to save 2FA tokens) for $10USD a year. I think its very good and it seems to get great reviews.

Protonpass costs 60 EUR a year. This is way more expensive than their competition (including Dashlane, Nord etc). In my opinion its not worth paying more for- it does nothing special. There is a temporary '60% off' deal at the moment, but that only brings in line with the price of most other password managers on the market. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Proton cranked the price up again in the near future.

I use NordPass and can't live without it.
But after seeing both, my choice would be ProtonPass, which does what NordPass does

I would take Bitwarden hands down before anything else out there. It's made for one purpose and it does it and does it well, no bells and whistles, no extra added junk.

Been using it for years and never , ever one single issue. LastPass can't say that
