How to block it using Adguard Adblocker Extension (Chrome).
Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful
I tried "Block ads manually" (context menu). It works until I refresh the page, it reappears again.

That popup is not an ad, it is part of Facebook itself, so AdGuard will never be a clean solution here.


You have two options:


1. Turn it off from your Facebook account


On desktop:


  1. Log in to Facebook.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right.
  3. Go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
  4. Open Security and login (or Password and security / Saved login info, depending on the new layout).
  5. Look for Save your login info.
  6. Set it to Don’t save for that browser / device.

After this, log out and back in once. The “Remember Password” box should stop appearing.


2. Disable the browser password prompt


If Chrome is also asking to save the password, you can turn that off too:


  1. In Chrome go to chrome://settings/passwords.
  2. Turn off Offer to save passwords.

I would not try to filter this with AdGuard, since Facebook often changes the code and any custom cosmetic rule will break easily or hide other dialogs. The proper fix is to disable the feature in Facebook or in the browser.

Yes, that concern is valid – that feature is basically “1‑click login” for anyone who can use that browser.


What that prompt really does
If you click OK on that box, Facebook will:
  • Store a special token in that browser.
  • Let anyone who opens facebook.com on that browser log in just by clicking your profile picture.
  • Often not ask for the password again unless you explicitly log out / clear data / revoke the saved login.

So on a shared PC or a laptop that others can access, it does make your account much easier to open.

How to keep it from being “too easy”

  1. Disable saved login on Facebook (recommended)
    As mentioned earlier:
    • Go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Security and login / Password and security.
    • Find Save your login info (or similar).
    • Set it to Don’t save for that browser/device.
  2. Always log out when done
    If you must occasionally use “stay logged in”, make sure to hit Log out when you leave the machine. That removes easy access on that session.
  3. Use a separate browser profile or browser
    Have a dedicated profile (or even a different browser) for Facebook, locked behind your OS account password or PIN.
  4. Enable 2FA (two‑factor authentication)
    Even if someone clicks your profile, 2FA (with an authenticator app, not SMS if possible) adds another hurdle for attackers who don’t have your phone.

Bottom line
If you’re worried about someone accessing your FB just by clicking your picture, absolutely do not enable this feature. Turn off “Save your login info” on Facebook, don’t let the browser auto‑sign‑in, and always log out on shared or insecure devices.

So @Sorrento meant: maybe the OP doesn’t want their Facebook account to be that easy to open on that device (for example, on a shared PC where anyone can sit down, click the picture, and get into the account).

I know what that "pop up" does and what @Sorrento meant, I'm just being kinda sarcastic ;)
I mean, it's clear what I want to accomplish. Is it so hard to understand?
That “dialog” doesn't pop up, it always appears embedded in the feed every time you open Facebook page. I just want to get rid of it by blocking it with AdGuard extension, creating a rule. I tried but wasn't successful.

Understood – you just want to kill that embedded Facebook “Remember Password” box with AdGuard, not change FB settings.

I can’t see the actual HTML on your side, so I can’t guarantee an exact 1‑line fix, but you can usually get rid of it with an Extended CSS rule based on the text it shows.

1. Try a text‑based cosmetic rule

In AdGuard’s User rules, add something like this (for English UI):

Explanation:

  • facebook.com## – only on Facebook.
  • div:contains(...) – AdGuard’s ExtendedCSS, hides any DIV that contains that text anywhere inside it.
  • Using both lines of text together makes it less likely you’ll nuke some unrelated element.

After adding:

  • Reload Facebook.
  • If it’s still there, hit Ctrl+F5 (hard refresh / bypass cache).

If your Facebook language isn’t English, replace the text inside :contains() with the exact phrases you see in your own language.

2. If that’s not enough, refine it with the element picker

  1. Open Facebook, make sure the “Remember Password” box is visible.
  2. Click the AdGuard icon → Block ads on this website.
  3. Hover until the entire box is framed (not just the OK button) and click it.
  4. In the dialog, tick Advanced options / Edit rule so you can see the generated selector.
  5. Copy that selector into User rules.
  6. If it looks like a random ID (e.g. ###u_0_a1), change it to something more stable by:
    • Looking in the browser’s Inspector (F12 → pick element) for nearby attributes like role="dialog" or data-* and
    • Replacing the random ID in your rule with that attribute, e.g.
      facebook.com##div[role="dialog"][data-something="value"]

Because Facebook’s markup changes a lot, any rule might break over time – that’s normal. The text‑based one above is usually more resilient than an auto‑generated ID rule.

If that LibreWolf setting is enabled the way it is in your screenshot, then yes – all Facebook cookies and site data are wiped every time you close the browser.

What that means in practice
  • You won’t stay logged in to Facebook between sessions.
  • The “click profile picture to log in” 1‑click login won’t survive a browser restart.
  • Facebook will still show you that “Recordar contraseña” box while you’re logged in, but your AdGuard rule is already hiding it.

So for your goals:

Yep – with that setting enabled, LibreWolf deletes Facebook cookies when you close it.

In your screenshot, "Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed" is checked, so:

  • All site cookies (including Facebook’s) are wiped on browser exit.
  • You won’t stay logged in to Facebook between sessions.
  • Facebook can’t keep that “click profile picture to log in” state after you close LibreWolf.

Your AdGuard rule hides the nag card while you’re logged in.
The LibreWolf setting makes sure that nothing from Facebook persists after you close the browser.

If you ever want to clear cookies only for Facebook and keep others:

Yes – with that setting enabled, LibreWolf removes Facebook cookies when you close it.

Because you have "Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed" checked:

  • All site cookies and local storage are cleared on exit (including Facebook’s).
  • You won’t stay logged in to Facebook after closing LibreWolf.
  • Facebook can’t keep its “remember your login / click photo” state across sessions.

If you want this only for Facebook (and not all sites)

You can instead make it site‑specific:

  • Uncheck the global "Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed".
  • Click Manage Data… or Exceptions….
  • Add facebook.com and set it to Delete cookies and site data on close.

Combined with your AdGuard rule hiding the “Recordar contraseña” box, you’re already in good shape for both less annoyance and less persistence from Facebook.

  • You don’t want to wipe all cookies on browser close.
  • You do want to get rid of the “Recordar contraseña” / profile‑picture login nag.
  • You probably still want to stay logged in to Facebook normally.

In that case:

1. You already solved the real problem

The AdGuard rule you’re using:

is exactly what you need. It hides that “remember password” box regardless of cookies.

2. What the LibreWolf setting would do (and why it’s probably not what you want)

The "Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed" option:

  • Clears cookies and local site data for all sites on exit.
  • Logs you out of Facebook (and every other site) every time you close the browser.
  • Breaks “stay logged in” and other conveniences.

So if your goal is:

  • Stay logged in to FB when you want.
  • Just get rid of the “Recordar contraseña” card.

then leave that setting disabled and just keep the AdGuard cosmetic rule.

3. If one day you really do want Facebook cookies removed on close

Then you’d do it for Facebook specifically, not globally:

  • Turn off the global “Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed”.
  • Use the per‑site data/permissions (exceptions) and set facebook.com to clear on close.

But for your current goal, you don’t need any of that – just keep your working AdGuard rule and normal cookie behavior.
