Blue screen after Malware run

So I was running Windows XP in VMware. I visted a malicious website, and ran the .exe file. It restarted VMware player and went straight to a blue screen error. What kind of malware would cause this?

This may be a VMware problem. Could be high Ram usage or something conflicting with VMware.

I had this problem too, can't remember what malware I used. It is probably because malware is aware of Virtual Machine...

There could be an issue from a malware when it tries to execute and BSOD the machine which is pretty normal from some situation in dealing Virtual Machine as long it goes back from the task that you do always.

Some viruses doesn't run in the virtual machine thus came up in error but rarely to execute outside the VM.
