This is on a system with ESET installed. All Defender services are auto stopped.

Maybe it's happening for you because your Defender services were stopped by Defender Control prior to installing Kaspersky, not automatically after installing Kaspersky. Also, Defender Control is not updated anymore so it doesn't know about the new Defender Core Service. So that could also result in incompatibility. If none of this is correct, then it could be a bug from Kaspersky's side. Looking at ESET, their Security Center integration module was last updated in August 2023, so the integration method hasn't changed in Windows for a while.

That is possible. Next time I reinstall Kaspersky I will try reenabling defender first to see what happens.

Can you elaborate on this? Sorry, I didn't understand the abbreviations. Defender Control is there. And the rest?
DControll doesn't start Defender anymore?
sorry yes defender stays on in processes at very low percentage of memory usage-but still on. it stays on with many antiviruses i've tried lately. Dcontrol turned defender off and i'm not going turn it on again .i'm using kaspersky free at the moment with windows firewall and Andy Ful settings for firewall hardening . hope this helps . cheers .

Enabled both Inject script and Scan HTTPS, browsing speed is pretty good.
No security extension is enabled as SmartScreen (Edge) + Kaspersky Safe browsing + NextDNS is more than enough.

Is it just me or anyone else notice that UAC prompt and explorer are slow as a snail on 24H2?
I had my problems with 24H2 but after a reinstall from ISO while keep personal files and apps most problems, including those delays are gone.

I had multiple little issues, including slow app opening, thus my decision to image back.
Well, no windows/app crashes for me so it's unlikely I will move back to 23H2 or do a clean install (will probably take a week for me to get all the stuff right just the way I like after a clean install, so that's no go). Biggest let down so far has been the UAC delay, it almost feels like 1-1.5 second delay to me.

Downloading I

This update will eventually be mandatory, right? I'm still not getting it offered in my updates, even with having "get the latest updates as soon as they're available" enabled, which sounds like it could be a good thing, until they can get the bugs worked out.
Waiting till you eventually get it through Windows Update is the safest option.
There are some issues that will (hopefully) be resolved before the general rollout:

No, don't wait. Install it ASAP and join us on the dark side.

Mine is a fresh installation and I don't have any issue except the one I shared in the other thread that is Explorer opens with a slight delay when ran for the first time. No UAC delays for me. In fact, some of my portable apps stored in HDD opens slightly faster than it did with MD in the previous 23H2.

Well, that didn't work 🥲
Even tried uninstalling/reinstalling Kaspersky Free to no effect. UAC is still slow as hell, my old ass dual core laptop from 2017 is faster in showing UAC prompts and launching smaller apps. RIP MS.
Noticed that on Hyper V Home edition with my custom Windows 11 24H2. Pro edition was smooth on Hyper V. Holding off until WD WN740 and other gets certified drivers for my thinkpad. 23H2 running very well on 8840HS Ryzen SoC.

How is the web browsing speed with Kaspersky free now? It was slow when I tested it before months, is there any improve?
Idk if Kaspersky changed anything but browsing feels pretty good now even though I have enabled both HTTPS scan and script injection. Earlier even after disabling both these it felt pretty slow.
