My friend's laptop has been infected with a browser hijack. Attempts to clean it with Malwarebytes and Dr Web have not worked. I am happy to donate for your kind assistance in cleaning the laptop.

Hello,

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

icon_exclaim.gif
This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

I just toyed with IE, Chrome, Firefox..... no popups, no redirects! You're the man!

Where is the link so I can donate to your site?

I have hunted all over and I do not see a button to donate for your time and assistance. While I respect that you guys provide this service as a voluntary effort, I value your time and solutions, so I would like to make a donation. However, you guys are making it hard to do so!

Where is the donation link button?

Then perhaps MalwareTips has BLOCKED me from donating because I just logged into this site from 3 different laptops with 3 different operating systems, and using 3 different browsers. Not one of them is showing a Donate button, my friend! Nothing under the 'More Options' field either. In fact, I'm uploading a screenshot of what I see from my side. Please let me know how I can donate, because I have used this service in the past and I want to support the site. It's invaluable.
