Microsoft’s first cumulative update to Windows 10 fixed an issue that made many users tear their hair out, when clicking ‘Settings’ in the start menu, the Windows App store opened, or nothing happened at all.
A 21 pages long thread on the Windows 10 Answers Forums shows that many, many users were affected by the bug. The ‘Settings’ in Windows 10 are obviously important for users that want to change the behavior of the operating system. Even more frustrating for some users is that on their system the Windows 10 App store launched when ‘Settings’ were clicked. Fortunately Microsoft recognized the issue and fixed this in the update released two days ago.
Users that suffer from this bug probably receive Windows 10 updates automatically as without ‘Settings’ they were unable to change this behavior
