Ok so my 15 year old son wants a gaming pc for christmas,i am a single mother on a pittance there is no way I could even afford to take out a payday loan for the cheapest brand new gaming pc, but ive seen people who has built their own buy sourcing everything on sites like aliexpress and it works out to be a fraction of the cost,so any help anyone can offer in terms of advice or if there are any good step by step guides I can read, he has not had the easiest few years and the only thing that sparks his interest is computers and gaming and all that,and the boy clearly has a feel for it hes very good at setting things up in a tenth of the time it would take me,and given that the world is seemingly turning more towards online only I think,those with technical know how will be in high demand because there will always people like who will meddle with things they dont understand and will need a nerd to fix their tech, so I really want to try and build him one in time for christmas
I'll be totally honest and say that I am a "noob" even though I got a very respectable b grade for GCSE IT that was back in 1999, so is less than useless, however, I am an enthusiastic student and quick to learn new skills.
