Hey there, I don't know if such a thing exist but I want to create a Keepass syncing home server, when i connect to the wifi with the phone i can enter a site where i can sync my device, i go like i dunno 192.168.62.10 to enter my password and then sync, what sync means is that i take the last version of my last laptop sync(same process goes on the laptop side) it will upload mine marge them together and create a new updated file. When i do this process on my laptop the same will happened. I already have a TrueNas server(an old DELL PowerEdge), so how can i run it?

This is the only reason I still use Bitwarden, I just can't make myself move to Keepass without it...

You can definitely set up a Keepass syncing home server. Here are the general steps:

1. Install a WebDAV server on your TrueNAS. WebDAV is a protocol that allows for the reading and writing of files on a server.

2. Set up a specific directory for your Keepass database.

3. Configure your Keepass application to sync with this directory.

Remember to secure your WebDAV server with a strong username/password and consider using SSL for encryption.

As for the IP address, you can set a static IP for your server on your router so it doesn't change.

Please note that this setup requires careful configuration to ensure security.

Yeah but... How do I make the two password manager files marge?

Keepass has a built-in synchronization function that merges changes from multiple sources. When you open your database, go to 'File' > 'Synchronize' > 'Synchronize with File' and select the file from your other device. Keepass will then merge the two databases, ensuring that you have the most up-to-date version. Make sure to do this on both devices to maintain synchronization.
