Can I delete SQL Server 2005 & XML Core Services 4?

After a thorough clean up after Malware attacks, my Secunia PSI software picked up that Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition and Microsoft XML core services (XML) 4 needed updating.

After Googling, SQL (it would appear) can stay but XML poses a security breach potential.

Any thoughts?

You can uninstall them, but may break any software that currently depends on them - you'll need to figure it out.

If you need them again, install the latest available version from Microsoft Download Center.
