Can Yandex Browser be trusted?

Hello! I have recently installed Yandex Browser and as I can see there is a thread about Trovi.com browser hijacker installed by Yandex browser. I noticed that all searches made with Bing search engine are redirected to trovi.com and then you see Kaspersky warning. I scanned my system with Malwarebytes ADWCleaner and it found this entry in registry

HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList\browser.exe

Anyway I have googled Yandex Browser and trovi.com and I found
Hybrid-Analysis Yandex.exe
Yandex Browser redirects to Trovi.com when doing Bing searches

What do you think?

Just change your search engine to get rid of trovi

The adwcleaner pup is false, theres panda pups and iobit pups around us aswell

I really liked Yandex's appearance and functionality. But the Trovi.com thing is making me uncomfortable. Why Ynadex is using such nasty techniques ?

When in doubt and your not comfortable don't use it.... I'm afraid nowadays almost everybody is spying on everybody. Maybe try Brave?

Well opera, cent browser, comodo dragon, firefox are also advertising sites

You get rid of trovi by changing your search engine,

Licencing, it is not like they have a choice. Bing is not free.

I am currently using Yandex as my default browser. Very secure and reliable. I had tried it many years ago and now I decided to give it a new chance. Regards!

I see. The weird thing is when I removed Bing search engine from Yandex and tried to add it again manually, Trovi.com is back -_-
