Can Zeus Trojan/bot infect Hardware?

I am wondering can it infect hardware? Like computer hardware itself ?

Or is that not possible ?

Malware can infect firmware of the hardware (bios, HD/Video/keyboard/USB etc firmware).

No. Zeus is very primitive malware now. It's about 15 years old now. It can't infect hardware.

But there is out there malware/virus that can infect hardware. So it is possible.

Unless your a target for a nation state your unlikely to be infected by such malware.

It's virtually impossible to find copies of that type of malicious software on the clear web.
