Ooops.. I don't know Spanish. But I can try using Translators..

Double click on OTL to run it
  • Click on the Cleanup button at the top.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. Choose Yes
  • This will remove itself and other tools we may have used.

Now that your PC is clean, I recommend you to create a new System Restore point then purge the old ones after.

For XP
How to create a Restore Point in XP
Delete all restore points except the most recent one

For Vista
Create a restore point
Delete all but the most recent restore point

For Windows 7
Create a restore point
Delete all but the most recent restore point - Click the Delete all but the most recent restore point link

Keep your system updated
  • Keeping your programs (especially Adobe and Java products) updated is essential. Update Checker will notify you if any of your programs require an update.
  • Microsoft releases patches for Windows and Office products regularly to patch up Windows and Office product bugs and vulnerabilities.
  • Please ensure you update your system regularly and have automatic updates on. You can learn how to turn Automatic Updates on here

I also recommend you to switch your antivirus program to a better one. Here are some suggestions:

In addition to your antivirus, you need additional protection such as a firewall and behavioural blocker.

Here are only a few suggestions that will improve your system security. Should you wish to allow us to make full recommendations and set your PC up with maximum security, please start a thread here. Our community of PC enthusiasts and experts will give you feedback and help you secure your system from future malware infections.

Internet Explorer may be the most popular browser but it's definitely not the most secure browser. Consider using other browsers with addition add-ons to safeguard your system while browsing the internet.

Firefox is a more secure, faster browser than Internet Explorer. Firefox contains less vulnerabilities, reducing the risk of drive-by downloads. In addition, you can add the following add-ons to increase security.
  • KeyScramber - Encrypts your keystrokes to protect you against keyloggers that steals personal & banking information
  • AdBlock - Disable/blocks advertisements on websites so you won't accidentally click on a malicious ad.
  • NoScript - Disables Flash & Java contents to avoid exploits or drive-by attacks
  • Web of Trust - Shows the website rating by other users and blocks dangerous and poor-rated sites

Google Chrome is another good browser that is faster and more secure than Internet Explorer by having a sandbox feature. Additionally, you can add the following add-on to Chrome to heighten security.

Lastly, it is important to perform system maintenance on a regular basis. Here are a few tools and on-demand scanners that you should keep & use every 1-2 weeks to keep your system healthy.

Other than that, stay safe out there! If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask :)

Ok, I installed Avira and I allowed it to add the ASK toolbar. Does that help me to avoid bad websites? When I installed Avira, it told me I had to manually uninstall Malware Bytes, so I did that in my Uninstall programs. I have a question about my Google search though. There's a problem that I thought the virus was causing, but it's still there. When I click a new tab and the Google thing comes up, (See File 1 attached), I see pictures of some of the sites that I've opened recently below the search bar. If I click in the search bar, I can't type. I try and try and nothing appears. If I click out of the bar, the whole Google bar disappears.(See File 2 attached) And then sometimes when I open a new tab, there is a search bar, but no pictures at all below. Just empty squares. (See File 3) Either way, I can't use that search bar. I can type at the top where I normally put in the web address. What's wrong? Am I still infected with something?
Also, do I still need Hitman Pro? Should I uninstall it?
Ok never mind, I have used my attachment quota up, so no attachments. :(

Hi,

Upload more Screen shots here : http://tinypic.com/?t=postupload.

I recommend not to use Ask Toolbar. Google Toolbar will be good. I think you are telling me about new Google Home Page in new Tab of Google Chrome. See my Attachment.

Ok I uploaded 2 pics on tinypic. Tag was ginablumen. I don't really understand how that works, but I hope you can find them. So yes, that is the google image I was talking about. Is that associated with the virus? And why can't I type in the search bar? :(

Ok, I deleted the Avira Toolbar. When I was installing, it made it sound like it would protect me as I searched pages that might potentially harm me. Is this not true? Also, in my very first contact, I told you that I had tried to delete the AVG Toolbar, but it wouldn't let me. It is still there. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? If it's bad, how do I get rid of it?

Hi,

Google Image on your computer is a good one only. It is not any Virus...Avira Toolbar will be protecting you...

To Remove AVG Toolbar...

Go to Your computer Desktop. Now Press on Windows Key and R key all together on your computer Keyboard... It will give you a Run Window. Inside that Run Window Type appwiz.cpl and press on Ok. Now you can see Programs and features window. It will show you all the installed programs on your computer. Select AVG Toolbar and press on Remove.........

To create a restore point

Open My Computer (Press Windows Key + E)

Right-clicking on White Space, and then clicking Properties.

In the left pane, click System protection. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click the System Protection tab, and then click Create.

In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click Create.

Screen Shots Here

Ok, I made the Restore Point. Thank you. I tried to take away the AVG Toolbar, but like before, nothing happened. It's still there. I clicked on Uninstall and nothing. Also, I took away the Avira toolbar. I guess I don't know the difference between the Ask toolbar and the Avira toolbar. The Ask toolbar came with the Avira download. How do I go about reinstalling the Avira toolbar?

Hi Kuttus, I'm back with the stupid Delta Homes Virus again! :( Apparently the antivirus I'm using (Avira) isn't worth crap. I'll need some advice on a better one when we finish. So what I did was go back to the beginning of this thread and do your first instructions to me. I downloaded the AdwCleaner, and will post the results here. I'm about to do the second step now too. I"m sorry to bother you again, and I can't believe it came back.... Actually, I probably need to start a new thread because I remember now that I can't attach any new images. Should I just start a new thread? You can look at my history to remember who I am...

I use Google Chrome most of the time, but the delta home page opened in Internet Explorer by itself. But since I wrote you, I chatted online with someone from McAfee helped me install the antivirus program, and I don't see any more evidence of the virus. Should I send you a report or a screenshot of something just to make sure? Thanks for your help, Kuttus
