I would highly recommend some sort of security app but don't know which work on this thing. Even if a device is "secure" on its own always have a second opinion whether it be an AV or a scanner app.
Automatically secure since Windows Phone by nature is secure + the population usage is very low where malware writers will not bother to create something least impact.

There's a handful of anti-phishing browsers, but Windows Phone cannot get malware like Android. It's not even a popular platform, the Windows Store has a lot of spammy and fake apps.
