Cch123, thanks for sharing your configuration! I like your use of 'common sense' among your Real Time Protections, and already think I'm learning a thing or two from You!

For privacy, one approach could be to add a privacy extension.
I've learned of (2), and use both

• DoNotTrackMe for Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...-priva/epanfjkfahimkgomnigadpkobaefekcd?hl=en and for Firefox which I use with DNTM most https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/donottrackplus/ Their free service also includes generating disposable email addresses which forward to your real private email.
• & ZenMate for Chrome https://zenmate.com/ I use this most with Chrome

A VPN (virtual personal network) is another method, I've yet to try; but will share more once I do!

A favorite extension recommended here on MT uses encrypted password security.
It's called LastPass

@Moose Bufferzone was updated a few months back (February) and it can now support windows 8. I only started trying it recently, so I can't really comment about it at the moment. The download link is here http://download.cnet.com/BufferZone-Pro/3000-2144_4-75210844.html
