Solved Chrome prevented the IDM MV2 extension from running

Today Chrome prevented the Internet Download Manager MV2 extension from running. How's the extension doing on your system? A recent IDM update possibly mentioned "extending the use of the MV2 extension," but I'm uncertain.

I use Vivaldi, which uses the up-to-date Chromium engine, and IDM is working just fine here too. Once and a while toggling off the extension and toggling it back on works, on the rare occasion it stops working.

There's no problem on Edge here. I re-enabled it on Chrome twice now.

Chrome extensions are region restricted now it works for some and not for others.

Okay, the General tab has a setting to extend MV2 extension availability. I activated it, and it seems to work as expected.
