It's normal, they don't want to use NPAPI anymore
It's good for firefox, almost all plugin use NPAPI :D
Firefox have bad performance, but it's compatible with all plugins :)

Google’s Chrome browser no longer supports NPAPI plugins including Java, Unity and Silverlight. Support for the plugins has been removed in version 45 of the browser which was released last Monday.
Don't really care as most of these are not used anyways (except for Unity where I use).

Couldn't you just use Opera or Vivaldi where they use Blink but no removed support? Or Safari where they use WebKit?
