hi! i'm not sure if i'm putting this into the right forum as I've never done this before but i hope someone can help. when browsing and installing cc for the i s i accidentally installed this (what im now aware of) malware. chromstera has been installed onto my pc. it created an extension in Microsoft edge that my dad has thankfully been able to remove but couldn't remove the chromstera file that is showing up in my program files. when i try to uninstall it using control panel (program files) i get the popup "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed" but chromstera still shows up as running in my program files and i'm scared it will reinstall the edge extention or something worse. if anyone can offer any help or lead me to a place where someome has already explained how too fix this issue i would greatly appreciate it. thank you and have a nice day.

Chromstera is a browser hijacker that installs its own customized Chromium browser with its own startup page and search engine.

I need to see what was installed on this compromised compiter.

Please. download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST).
Choose the 32 or 64 bit version for your system.
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

How to attach a file:
In the Reply section in the bottom of the topic Select Click the Attach Files.
Navigate to the location of the File.
Click the file. It will appear in the reply section.
Click the Post Reply button.

Please post the logs for my review.

Wait for further instructions
