Im currently using comodo internet security 6.3 and have been for quite a while.

I would like members to give their opinions on this product and does it provide good enough protection.?

I hardly download anything as a rule and just browse etc.
It runs very well with no issues and find comodo a very good product.

Thanks.

What changed your mind?

Im using ESET smart security right now and have been for the past 2 weeks and it is very light and overall im extremely impressed.

I was a comodo user for many years but there security product has been extremely buggy lately and with every new release they are fixing 200 bugs apparently.

I dont download and install a lot of software like some users do,i simply install the programs i actually need on my computer and that is it,so i dont need fancy autosandboxes and hips etc.

If i do decide to download anything it gets thoroughly checked prior to installation so in my case all that fancy jazz which comes with comodo is simply not needed and a waste of computer resources.

The comodo av has become very heavy and the latest version was spiking terribly and it had to go.
I discovered ESET and i havent looked back since.

I honestly believe that you can't go wrong with CIS, I've said some bad things about it in the past but I think it's up there with the best protection you're going to get.

Okay i will confess to being a comodo fanboy lol.
The trial for eset ran out.

I have changed a few settings in comodo and discovered it ran a lot smoother.

Amiga, I think that CIS is a good suite if you don't mind the AV being a little heavy, slow to update and slow scans. Personally I would just run CFW and add an AV of your choose. Avast, avira free, qihoo 360 (cruelsisters fav setup), baidu AV, PCAV. CFW and Avast free have always been a great combo. If you don't have any issues with CIS then, yes it's a pretty solid product if configured properly.

Actually using the internet security config seems lighter on the system rather than the proactive setting.

Did you use 3 month key for ESET Smart Security that I gave you?

it stopped working.
ESET stopped updating and a member of ESET staff did not recognise the key.

CIS is more then enough to keep your system clean with your uses and it's components..
