A fresh re-install always makes Windows much faster but that means you lose all your program settings. CloneApp will Backup all your App settings from Windows' directories and the Registry, and only those you really need. The Idea behind CloneApp is a bit different from the "classic" Backup tool. The main purpose is to backup all the Configuration files in the Windows Program directories and the Registry.

Supported software includes 7-Zip, Adobe Reader, Classic Shell, Gimp, Google Chrome, Google Earth, IrfanView, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office 2010/ 2013, Firefox, Opera, VLC Media Player, and it can preserve plenty of Windows settings, too: Favorites, Contacts, Network folder settings, Start Menu and more.

CloneApp can also be extended via "plug-ins", plain text files which define exactly which files, folders and Registry keys the program should preserve.

Really interesting application. Might give it a test run, perhaps it's really effective. :p

It looks a whole lot like CCleaner, by the way... I want to believe they based the UI off of CCleaner legitimately.
I hope we don't have another IObit case in our hands... :D

That interface makes you convince to use the program as it matches to our needs, however that interface may prone for an issue if Piriform notify the exact style and later time of misconception.

Seems like a very useful program. It looks as though it cloned CCleaner though :D I could not find anything tying these two companies to each other.

Well it doesn't matter as long as a legitimate agreement was established between the two companies, in which the CloneApp developers were given permission to use the generic UI style. Let's hope that the UI is the only thing they've copied from CCleaner...
If not, then no matter how useful this application may prove to be, it surely is going to take a hit from Piriform.
I shall once again bring up the case of IObit as a reference: IObit Malware Fighter was surprisingly good, until IObit was forced to remove the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware signatures... :D
