While looking for some applications, came across this browser site which I do not intend to try at all.

Have a look, although it is basically an old version of FF in my eyes, it is based off the FF and Mozilla codes.

They are the same who own the P2P program, BitComet. Filehippo discontinued the updating of BitComet for the following reason:

Filehippo said:
As of April 2008 FileHippo will no longer be updating BitComet. As they have copied the FileHippo site text, files, images and update checker and are passing it off as original work.

I don't know if this one is safe or not.

Well if some browser use the other main source code its better if they add new twist features on their own. Caused its literally same.

I start to like CometBird but now I use it to test extensions for Firefox.

I think is very good browser, but I not use it to login on Facebook or on internet forums, where I have an account.

I don't know this browser is safe or not.

I just recently changed my default browser to Cometbird because it uses about half of the resources as Firefox. Also does appear to have all of the annoying bugs present in Firefox.

I don't want what they did to Firefox to make it lighter and faster but Mozilla could learn some things from them. Cometbird is the best rebuild of Firefox that I have tried. It is as safe as Firefox and is open-source, except for some additional add-ons made by Comet, like BitComet Video Downloader, CometMarks, Browser UI Enhancement and Soft Updater Checker. Those add-ons can be disabled if you are concerned about them.

Thanks.:D
