Comodo Cloud Antivirus team is currently working hard both on improvements about system architecture of Sandbox and the Valkyrie server side; as well as on the improved usability with a new designed user interface which will be released by the beginning of 2017.

CCAV is now even more Powerful !

The major aim of today’s new release is now CCAV is using CIS Sandbox Engine instead of Portable Sandbox ! With the new version CCAV has the identical Sandboxing mechanism we have on CIS application. We also now have a new option to detect PUA(Potentially Unwanted Applications) !

Atm their detection is useless but it doesn't matter. It will sandbox anything unknown.

Not really. Only way to find unknown for my usage it's program updates when i update fast and the developers don't sign their software. It's pretty solid in my opinion.

Criticizing Comodo because of the AV is like passing on a Lamborghini because it has a plastic shifter nob. The true quality is elsewhere.

I manage to find unknowns, even on my own system, but that's normal for my personality...

I got the new version, from the link in this thread. I like it. It does behave like CIS autosandbox, at least I can say that it doesn't do the same dumb things that CCAV used to do on my system.

Didn't have time today to test it. Did they give the permission option for sandbox to run restricted, partially restricted, untrusted?

no. it is still dumbed down.
you have three choices: run in sandbox, run outside sandbox, block.

I dont think permission option will be there in CCAV, it will remain stripped down version with basic options.

Trying latest CCAV release...Rating Scan gets stuck on some percentage...could not connect to cloud server...same old issue with every release of CCAV right from the very first stable release.

I disabled the AV component, so I don't even care about that total failure.

2 quick questions. Does ccav sandbox any unknown on the computer? or only from the web, usb etc line cis on internet security settings?

And i cant find the option for pua detection. where is it? seems i am totaly blind, lol.

CCAV sandboxes everywhere, including system files and program files.
PUA is in file rating settings

Let me guess, Valkyrie is still a non functional garbage? I don't get it why they can't get the feature which would make the most sense out of their sandboxing and yet it's just perpetually broken.

this version of CCAV seems to work well with Kaspersky Internet Security. In fact, Kaspersky will install on top of it, without a complaint about incompatible software.
