Comodo Secure DNS vs Norton DNS vs OpenDNS?

Tried them ALL and benchmarked them too.

OpenDNS is the fastest but NortonDNS has better malware site and content blocking in Level B. You cant custom fil;ter though like you can with
OpenDNS.

Comodo Secure DNS didnt make up my mind yet.\

I think NortonDNS is the best so far.

Whats your opinion?

Speed depends of your location from the server.

I use Comodo DNS because it is (normally) linked to Site Inspector.

Tried Norton DNS , works also well.

Never heard of them ill try them but they are not world wide known.

How are they compared to NortonDNS?

For protection against malicious sites should be very similar.
There are lots of people using Sendori's DNS.

So if we were to choose between ALL DNS Serves based of their malware protection only what would you suggest?

I wish i knew the answer.
You need to do your own testing because i am sure on a daily basis they would change.
At this moment i am using Comodo DNS but i really don't need to as using K9's web protection which filters a lot of nasty sites.

Wouldnt it be better insteaf of runnign extra blocking software for DNS to do the job for us?

Also if i continue to use Norton DNS in C level how can i allow only a specific web page to open and not get blocked?

Ad it to my win7 hosts file?

www.p2planet.net id like to exclude. What should i do?

I preffer Norton DNS. It ha some servers in India so I get a better speed. Protection wise i feel Comodo and Norton are same. Norton beats comodo a bit.

I would have to give the edge to opendns, it has saved me quite a few times from bad sites...I think comodo and norton needs some more work, I'd rather use k9!

Closest is in Germany. Envy the users in UK :p Servers straight in London.

still dont feel much of slowness while browsing. Might change DNS to try out Sendori or OpenDNS

I feel a nit slow in browsing compared to OpenDNS use but iam also feeling more malware protected.

I live in Greece so closest in Germany for me too!

Ill try Sendori too now.

Something may be interfering like a firewall possibly?
I've had internet issues with it also and had to un-install and re-install.

None of the above as I feel that the primarily goal of a DNS Service is to increase the browsing speed and not increase your security.
Using a layered security configuration with a site advisor and sandbox is much more useful than actually using any of this services.
Let me remind you that DNS blocking works at a domain level and not at a file level,so this may prove very inefficient when it comes to zero day malware which uses new domains to launch it's attacks.
If I had to use a DNS Service I would most likely go with Google DNS as I suspect that they have the most data centers in Europe.
If your only criteria when choosing a DNS service is speed, you can use DNS Benchmark to see if the DNS you want to add is actually faster than the one that your ISP is offering.
Also another good toool that might come in handy, is DNS Jumper ,which will allow you to change with one-click your DNS servers.
MrXidus did a comparison sometime ago which you might want to look into it: http://malwaretips.com/Thread-DNS-Speed-Benchmark-Security-Test-Clouds-keep-it-clear

Yes thanks for the link, too bad ClearCloud is discontinued :(

Google DNS is fast but doesnt offer at all malware or pornography protection and i need that.
