All Antivirus DB first update is gigantic. :)

in advance, save COMODO Antivrius DB in USB memory of malwarekiller.

reference, korea antivirus (V3,Alyac) use P2P update method for antivirus DB.

malwarekiller even my net speed sucks. Formerly when I was using Comodo 3-4months ago my speed was 256kbps. The inital update took an hour. If you want to know the update is around 95mb. I think an hour on his pc would do. Or get your friends hdd, attach to your pc, update and give back to him. Leaving the initial updates others are not gigantic.

I have noticed something. Larger the installer of the suite- smaller the inital update.
For eg: Quickheal install is 250mb while initial update is 30mb
Kaspersky is 90mb initial update 150mb.
Avg installer 140mb- initial update 80mb.

Well generally it would use like 20+kb on the download speed so likely you can upgrade or be patience to finish the update.
