A few things that may or may not be important:

1). It seems that flaw that I saw in the Proactive Security Configuration has been fixed, so changing to this presents no problems.

2). For new installs ONLY (I didn't see any issues on CF that was updated)- No matter what configuration (either Firewall Security or Proactive Security) is chosen, PLEASE VERIFY that the auto sandbox is working. The easiest (and safest) way to do this is by running the java based calculator from the link below (It should go into the sandbox on run, and can be flushed easily (no installation required) by a Sandbox Reset):

The reason for this warning is that on new installs that used the Firewall Security configuration the auto-sandbox did not always function.

Have not updated yet but is an install-over the existing ver8 I have okay....or a new install is way better..?

Besides the name "Chromodo", like so many catchphrases these days, it is probably a euphemism meant to be catchy. Just try saying it without smiling!:):) That, and it's newer with hopefully frequently updated security patches.;) All in all, like all that is comodo, it's certainly worth trying!:D

unable to install. on 99% i get a Error code 1603. just googled,tryed out cleaning the registry etc but nothing works. Anyone know what Code 1603,unable to install means?

Which OS you are using ? I will give you a uninstaller tool.

If you are using Windows 7 or lower OS this tool
if you are using Windows 8 or higher OS this tool
try these tools in safe mode and restart after cleaning CIS remnants. It works everytime when I try.
If not try this.
I hope it will be solved.

The language for non-Unicode programs in Windows is not set to English. The installer does not handle it correctly. (known bug)

I really hope Chromodo gets constantly updated.One of the reasons I dropped IceDragon was because it didn't stay current....

If it does,it will definitely replace Chrome in my PC....and the future machines I work on.
 
I am noticing that my HIPS rules sometimes disappears....I'd know that when there's a sudden surge of HIPS flags when it ain't so. Noticed that 4x now...anyone experienced this.
