Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated its Dr.Web Net Filtering Service (9.1.2.08111), SpIDer Agent component for Windows (9.1.3.201408120), Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (9.1.3.201408130), Dr.Web Control Service (9.1.3.08141), as well as language modules, in the products Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-Virus version 9.1 and Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite, the latter of which supports centralized administration (it is included in the Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 product group).

The Dr.Web Net Filtering Service, which is incorporated into Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus, has had an issue resolved that involved the Parental Control not functioning unless SpIDer Mail and the HTTP monitor SpIDer Gate had been installed. The same fix has been delivered for the Office Control in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite. A DNS issue that occurred in corporate networks using proxy servers and could impede the speed of web surfing has also been fixed for the business product suite.

A SpIDer Agent defect in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus, involving a key file retrieval error that occurred if two keys were being used and lower case symbols were entered, has also been corrected.

For all the above mentioned products, some adjustments have been made to the anti-rootkit module.

Minor language module defects have been corrected.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated SpIDer Agent for Windows (9.1.4.201409120), Dr.Web Updater (9.1.0.09050), the installer (9.1.1.09010, 10.0.2.09051) and configuration scripts (9.1.0.08210, 9.1.0.09100) in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 9.1 as well as in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite which supports centralised administration (included in Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0).

SpIDer Agent for Windows now notifies users whether the virus databases in computers running under Windows Vista and later are out of date. Previously, the virus database status was only displayed in the Windows support centre. The update also resolves an issue that could result in false alerts being issued about the failure to launch certain Dr.Web components after Windows startup.

A Dr.Web updater defect that could interfere with the removal of Dr.Web has also been corrected.

The launching of SpIDer Agent for Windows during installation has been disabled to avoid an early system restart prompt.

The update also delivers monitor tweaks to Help in French and German.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
