Hello, On 24th of July, I received an email that I trusted (It was like for an event) on my laptop. The email contained two files, Out of curiosity, I decided to click on the files, one was image.mso(Which I believe it's the virus) the other one was image004.dmz. Nothing popped up, the file contained nothing. As soon as I opened those two files, I went on to open a new tab and click on facebook. I got a download file location screen instead. The next thing was the keyboard didn't work, can't type letters but pressing the numbers does a completely different function. It like the keyboard has been bind differently. The mouse was also affected too, Mouse left click on applications redirects me to properties of the app. It did this for around 20 mins. Then keyboard started functioning again. I suspect it's a virus that may have taken my information. The reason why I think is a virus is I click on original message on the email and I saw that the image.mso was created in 2017 while image004.dmz was created in 2018. Is that file a malicious file? So I downloaded an anti-keylogger and the anti-virus applications (as listed below). The applications have detected some files as PUP or malware, so I deleted them and restarted the computer. Then I tried to reset the laptop, the computer just restarted and then an error message saying there was a problem resetting it. I'm not sure if the malware caused this or the laptop itself. Please let me know if my laptop is infected with malware. Thanks.
