Hello,

I was just wondering, it there any way to confirm that when an app is added (files/folders) in exceptions/exclusions that it's actually working, other than in my case, the on-access app performance? I have a program that I've set every exclusion I can find but it doesn't seem to matter, it still lags when I use it. The only way to have it perform normally like it should is to disable F-Secure's Virus and Deepguard protection, and restart the PC. It was the same with Kaspersky, I had to pause its protection, even though I had those exclusions added as well. When those AV's were uninstalled, the program ran smoothly, normally.

edit: I also enabled show hidden files in Windows, to make sure I had anything in those locations added as well.

There could be a few reasons why your exclusions aren't working as expected. It might be that your antivirus software is still scanning the excluded files, or the program could be interacting with other non-excluded files causing the lag. You can test the exclusions by attempting to download a test virus (like the EICAR test file) into the excluded folder. If your antivirus doesn't react, it means the exclusion is working. However, I'd recommend reaching out to the customer support of your antivirus software for a more accurate diagnosis.
