I got on yesterday to post a question concerning a very persistent malware problem I have been having. However, after proceeding through an attempted post I was stymied by the required Post a Poll section. I could come up with a question, but what is the possible responses section? Obviously I could not post a thread without completing that part of the thread - the edits kept saying no - no - no you have to file in the boxes.

AFAIK, the poll section is optional. It isn't required to post a thread.

Thank you for your quick reply. I must be doing something wrong. I signed in, tried to create a thread with attached files. The thread was lengthy as I described my malware problem and the several attempts to get rid of the malware. When I tried to post the thread I kept on getting error messages saying I had to fill in the post section. Maybe I went too far in my original thread, but I did attempt to post the thread several times with the same error messages coming up. Finally, as I went through possible solutions to my problem, but the fields I originally filled into my thread disappeared so I gave up.

Enter a thread title at the top
You have to tick those that apply to your system
fill in something in the boxes
Tick what scans you have done or tick I have not performed a scan
Enter a message
Upload any scans if you have done them and click create thread

I am getting really confused. The first thread creation page had the boxes you described to tick off as well as several sub sections asking questions about my problem. That page I was not able to use as it kept of giving me error messages. However, I just posted a thread with none of the boxes to be ticked nor sub paragraphs. I did create a thread. However, I expect I am using the wrong thread creation form to post my thread. Ah well, ignorance will show!! Thanks for the help though.

Welcome to the MT forums, Stephen! Know that you are not alone,;) & your feeling "...a bit confused" was precisely the same way I'd felt after completing my config, & later finding I'd additionally ticked too many boxes!
