YOU CAN'T WIN AT THE LOTTERY IF YOU DIDN'T BOUGHT A TICKET.
Exactly... people lack common sense.
In Australia at the moment there are fake Telstra (ISP/Phone company) representatives going door knocking trying to get you to hand over personal details, bank accounts, credit card numbers etc in order to get a "faster internet speed" or "cheaper, good deal".
He was a short Indian man with exactly matching Telstra staff uniform and car with Telstra trademark on it, Convincing. I knew about these scammers and how much it sickens me they actually got the guts to come to your face and try talk money and personal details out of you. One way around this is to ask them for Staff ID and then you can ring up Telstra and ask if its a real worker but I'd rather not waste time, Told him to F-Off.
Another scam here in Aus is calls from "claimed" virus and pc experts saying that your pc is infected and they want you to download and run there remote support software, When they do this they will steal any details they can get and steal software keys. I've had about 4 or 5 of these then I switched to Private number, they stopped.. I can't imagine how many innocent people might have fallen for it..
