If malware removes crystal securuty when it is installed then it will reduce the protection of its users.
That would be the same for all vendors or security software affected. If it's been completely immobilised, then there will be no security. Likewise for your Xvirus software, once disabled your users are exposed to threats.

Unsure how this particular malware works, so cannot comment on the actual affects.

@RmG152 Yes. Because of the updated data location.
You can find whitelist under: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Crystal Security\3.5 Beta
Please replace username with your computer username.
  1. Close Crystal Security (via tray menu: Exit)
  2. Rename directory from 3.5 Beta to 3.5 (now it should be like: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Crystal Security\3.5)
  3. Restart Crystal Security
Now you should see your Whitelist. :)

Trusted providers will be added soon.

Regards,
Kardo

Hi everyone :)

Latest version of Crystal Security is reviewed by WindowsInstructed website. Overall score is 9 out of 10.
It also got the following award: EDITOR's CHOICE.

You can read review from here./QUOTE][

It does not surprise me, what surprises me is that it is not more popular, but it may be better to grow slowly. As they say in my country "small but sure steps."

You do a great job, thanks for it @Kardo Kristal :)

what does stealth guard do is it like self protection

Hi @Andrew999

Stealth Guard is like a lock down mode. When you enable it, then Crystal Security builds list of current files (as safe). All listed files are allowed to run. Now when new file is created or downloaded then it is flagged as unknown and will be blocked. It is possible to add new files into exclusion list. :)

Kardo

Please add an option to include Sub-directories and update the engine for the heuristics check, its giving some FPs.
I know its XVirus based :D
