I used KMPlayer for some time until I discovered Pot Player.

I found KMPlayer to be a little too " crash happy " , and was glad to ditch it .

But AFAIK it is the same developer for both ..... is that right ?

It is the evolution of KMPlayer: the author of the latter, seems to have sold the rights and he has created Potplayer.

Korean developers seems to have quite a strong presence in the Media Player scene these days .

Does anybody know how GOM fits into the general scheme of things ?
There appears to be a lot of takeovers in that business , and key developers working on more than project .

I see what you mean about always being behind .
I am seeing the usual " you have the latest version etc " and yet it's 1.6.60136 !!

I have never needed to update before .
I don't want to do a clean re-install if I can avoid it because I don't want to lose my saved EQ settings ,
playlists ( albums ) and all .

What do you advise .... will they be saved after a fresh install ?
Can they be exported first ?

I'm a noob when it comes to Potplayer .... but loving it anyway

I am sure you will like PotPlayer it is all i use here. It sure is worth a try.
