Have you considered Ghostery, WOT and Lastpass for Chrome?

Ghostery I use to use but now Do Not Track, WOT & Lastpass never used them.

in that case i would suggest you to tighten your browser a bit more
how bout using comodo dragon with comodo dns enabled, and add-ons you are comfortable with

I think we all do that

Glad that you have some sort of backup. Worth looking into Lastpass, reason is it's a very good FREE password manager, as for WOT (Web of Trust) it's an addon that is a website reputation checker.

Which version of Online Armor do you use? also did you enable EAM v7 beta with that introduce Bit defender's engine or you stick with v6.6

Online Armor set to automatic updates, EAM still 6.6
