I am not sure if this has been posted but I was looking at my running services and I noticed a new service running:

rzqdqkzuuljzlzkxjutkbjxypxizrsonospyrpebnoplolmoqqfwvkmhcsosbacbxwlsjlgtqrwnulkdluibmsreghwzblanmnnr

I did some research and apparently it was an optional update by MS that seems to be a privacy risk,by collecting user data!
I uninstalled it!!

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...hich-was/253fe2ec-fba6-4240-bfb8-2a3bdc801ed1

It collects HUGE amounts of data in Windows 10. Since it's the exact same service, chances are it collects the same huge amount of data in Windows 8.1 as well.

These fanboys will point out that my original citation was actually a page written for Windows 10, but won't point out to any source confirming that this service does a different thing in Windows 8.1.

Thank you for this!!:):)
I have been spending the last few minutes combing through task manager's "Windows Processes". I may have missed it o_O (the upgrade) rather than missed finding it! I 'did' notice Acer 'bloatware', and even got rid of Unchecky which I've heard nary a peep from!:p

Update:
As I've read, I do only choose "Important" updates, reserving "Optional" or "Recommended" updates for the occasional driver. I 'do' get upset when there are no descriptions :confused:as to what a proposed update truly is or does. Underhanded indeed!;):D

A bit surprise there because everything I've activated the patches and optional updates are suppose to be maintenance part of Microsoft Quality product however tracking and collecting informations which sometimes become a problem which to vague on explanation however that always the trend on big time companies.

Will removing the service hinder any process? Or is it completely safe to remove the service? I'm quite disappointed to see Microsoft taking this approach for their marketing.

Well as Ghacks made a tutorial (startup), its approve without any problems; design only to collect information from programs which cause problem or other things for said purpose.

Or removing the update should not cause any problem.
