I have a note 2 and the warranty is already over, do you think rooting is worth all the hassle/risk? Im still reading about the topic and everything seems easily comprehensible so far.
Uhh it's similar to administrator access in windows, basically once you get your phone apps have limited access to your phone but when you root apps become more powerful which allows you to block ads/improve battery life etc..

Root ur phone only if you are willing to learn....android (aka linux) to some extent....its simple and easy though...not rocket science.
If yes is your answer then this is the right way....http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2
Well rooting is only the tip of the iceberg. Then you will need to install a custom recovery so that you can try custom roms and you can really customize every bit of your OS...believe me once you are into it ...flashing roms becomes kind of getting a high.
