Chrome (or Chromium in my case link) profiles were originally developed so different users on a shared PC could personalize their browser (settings, extensions and themes). When you add a 'person' to the Chrome's people list (settings) Chrome offers the option to generate a link/short-cut.

I use two different profiles (with two different short-cut's on the taskbar), one starting incognito mode and running in normal mode:

Incognito profile:
- has scriptsafe with all fingerprinting protection enabled and blocking third-party scripts (respect same-domain loose)
- set home page to startpage.com
- does not shows bookmarks bar
- blocks third party cookies

Normal browsing profile
- has extensions blank new tab and avira browser safety
- set homepage to google.nl
- does show bookmarks bar

On my wife's laptop I have copied the CHROME.exe executable and renamed it CHROMIUM.exe. This CHROMIUM.exe is sandboxed by Pumpernickel and is only allowed to change the *\Chromium\* folders (block rule *chromium.exe>* and allow rule !C:\*\Chromium\*>*\Chromium\* ). MemProtect cages the (Chromium) directory which both CHROME.exe and CHROMIUM.exe are in (block rule *\Chromium\*>* and allow rule !C:\*\Chromium\*>*\Chromium\* ).

note: MemProtect causes zero delay because it uses a build-in Windows protection feature, while Pumpernickel delays the startup of Chromium with a whopping 0.125 seconds, that is why only the incognito (CHROMIUM.exe) is sandboxed by Pumpernickel. Because I use the UAC tweak to block unsigned elevation CHROME.exe of Chromium authors is unsigned, so can't touch Windows and Program files folders.

I know I have a compulsive disorder to tune and speedup everything, from PC's to Motor bikes.

I use 2 different browsers both isolated. The secondary is always in "incognito" mode.

Hello,
On my corp notebook, I have:

- the "official" Firefox ESR version, with my corporate favorites and only one extension (keefox for keepass, and thats all)
- a chromium portable for my personnal surf (with my favs extensions, lastpass, ublock0...)
- a couple of firefox portable for testing purpose (with proxy, no proxy, with cache, no cache, fiddler, rest client...)

That way, I don't merge my personnal surf and my corporate surf, and my tests.

Because it could be a problem, if you do a demo, when you start typing on the address bar, the autocompletion reveal your history

And when you are facing a problem with a corporate website, the support cannot say "your browser is not in the good version... remove your all your extensions and retry..." ;)

And I keep edge and IE, default settings, when something is not working on FF or Chrome. But I don't use them a lot.

My personnal Chromium is on a TruCrypt Volume. That way, when I'm moving to a new machine, I just move the TC container and I'm not worry to leaving personnal things behind me.

I had expected such a solid setup from you. ;)

Sandbox ....is ReHips?
Yeah. I use rehips to isolate them from everything. That is the cool part. They only communicate with what i allow them to communicate so even if i behave like an idiot and keep visiting bad places, worse case scenario i have to delete the isolated environment. Nothing else can happen.

I use 2 different browsers for what I do. I use Google Chrome for everyday use at home and what not and for University I use Firefox. Just so I don't have any of my personal stuff get in the way of work. As for incognito I use that on Chrome for banking mainly.

Hi to all! I have Slimjet browser and I have it synced between home and work, so I can have all bookmarks and extensionsthat I need ready wherever I am. On my home computer I have Adguard desktop version installed to fight against ads and other annoyances. Since I can not install Adguard on my work computer I use uBlock extension in Slimjet on my work computer.
I was wondering is there a way that I can have uBlock activated only on my work computer and not on home computer?
When I activate it in Slimjet on work computer, when I open Slimjet at home, it is also activated because of synchronization. I would like to have it active only on my Slimjet at work, and not on home computer. Can it be set that it is only activated on one computer, but that synchronization is still on?

Go to settings then advanced setting and uncheck what is not required. ;)

Firefox in Sandboxie for normal browsing , Cent (Chromium) in Sandboxie for Casinos or Youtube ( better Flash than FF), Bitdefender Safepay or Avast Safezone for banking & shopping gives isolation from Windows, plus keylogging and screenlogging protection.
