Question Does a cloud reset remove the leftovers of software?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
It would be fun not running MAS to activate MSO everytime reinstalling W 🥹
Btw I challenged myself and I did not make a system back up. I told myself, dude don't worry if you lose activation do as the other pirates suggested, use MAS hahahahhaha

But it seems I'm not destined to be a member of the glorified pirates union hahhahahaha

I confirm that using a local reset does not leave any leftovers of security products.

I used Revo Uninstaller to manually search for leftovers. Found none

I also use Antivirus Removal Tool and looked for leftovers and found nothing.

Hello,

I am wondering if a cloud reset does remove the leftovers of software especially security products. Also does cloud reset change device ID in Windows? I am currently using Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC and I am afraid that a clean install will remove the activation and I won't be able to reactivate Windows.

I have tried Cloud reset before, but as far as I rememeber that did not remove device drivers, so the same goes to everything else?
If the Windows OS image is not OEM - which are usually activated based upon a hardware component (e.g. hard drive serial number or mother board) - then activation should be tied to digital license. That digital license can be on Microsoft curated servers or 3rd party curated Volume License servers, dependent upon the edition of Windows (e.g. Pro versus Enterprise).

Enterprise --> VLK which are MAK and KMS and/or ADBA.

Microsoft's rules for activations and the number of "re-activations" permitted per license varies from 1 to about 20-25 (some VLKs can be activated only 5 times, others up to 20-25 times). Microsoft has no "unlimited" Windows OS activations. For every single install of Windows, independent of its edition and version, there is an activation limit.

The dirt cheap license keys that are sold are usually 5-activation VLKs or 5 to 20-25 VLKs sold to 5 to 25 different individuals. All those VLKs are hosted by a 3rd party on KMS. Unscrupulous 3rd parties that figured out ways to make their primary revenue the illegal sale of VLKs.

This does not answer your question but should provide insight as to whether or not you should risk a clean install which brings OS deactivation along with it.

Cloud Reset reinstalls Windows using a fresh Microsoft image and removes most installed software, including security products, but it may leave some drivers or low-level components. It does not change the device or hardware ID, so the system is still seen as the same machine.
