I just need this in Edge and I will never use any 3rd party browser. There is no worry. Microsoft made Edge a part of Windows, so it will reappear after some time. Do not fight with Microsoft, but block the execution if you do not want Edge running.

Edge, as well as most of other browsers, is missing some mandatory features for me; if it get them, I have no problem using Edge; it is not worse than Chrome. With due respect most users on this site 'fight' with MS including yourself, we all do unless we have a vanilla install?

I was installing a second browser beside Edge, before MS offering to uninstall Edge; uninstalled Edge just to explore if it is going to work properly; until the present time everything is okay, apart from the trial to update non-existent Edge which is solved by disabling Edge update services. My post was strictly practical and had nothing to do with your personal choices.
I posted a simple solution to get rid of Edge's processes running in the system, if it is necessary for some reason.
I use Edge on all my computers and do not recommend removing/disabling/blocking it without sufficient reasons.

I have already upgraded mine.Let us know if this will survive the upgrade to Windows 25H2.![]()
Why? I've read that in many places, probably from users who have never tried it, - I respect your views & you may be right? I'm not advocating anyone to remove edge - I did it for my own interests, after around two months I've yet to have a single problem - If I have issues its easy to remedy, so far its one less update & one less program running. I really don't see what the worry is.
I agree; just wanted to test the official uninstall option offered to see if it is going to work properly or Edge will come back with Windows updates as if it was removed by unofficial ways.My question, why want to remove, its a great safe browser.... If you dont want Edge or any windows services, then switch to some other OS.
Since Edge is integrated into Windows.
Uhm, 25H2 is out but not officially for LTSC and IoT, so i call this Frankenbuild, maybe this update will be pushed out for these Windows versions, but you know that 25H2 will be replaced with 26H1 in the next few month, and if MS don't release it officially you may lose the 10 years support of update and more. Better to stay with 24H2.I have already upgraded mine.

Everything is running as usual; waiting to find out if troubles will evovle later on.No issues after 25H2![]()
No, it is not; it is a preview build but most probably is the final one, as happened when Windows 11 Iot Ent LTSC was first released.so i call this Frankenbuild
There is no more H1 release since 21H1; since then, it is only H2 yearly.but you know that 25H2 will be replaced with 26H1 in the next few month
