Emsisoft Signature Update Roll BacK?

Hi, recently 5/25/2015 my Emsisoft Updated automatically, after success I see notification below:

then I compare to updated before (5/23/2015) see below:

anyone can explain how this may happen?

What you are seeing is called "optimization." Emsisoft does it on a frequent basis to reduce resource usage and update times.

Other AV vendors do this as well.

Same as others here explained...

Another term will be 'spring cleaning'/ 'spring clean' which its normal for those AV products to conduct in order to make the performance to be optimize. Sometimes very old detection like for a decade needs to remove prior on many criteria like not sufficient to be exist for infection.

A very little amount should not totally affect its detection capabilities.

They remove duplicate signatures from their Bitdefender engine!;):)
