Great to see some AV's doing offline updates. Not like I think it's necessary, but it's good to have. Like if your PC is connected to a network but not the net, need something to protect it and even keep it up to date.

No not really. I don't see it as that way. I post updates on Avira's Engine release and it's to inform members that it's been updated.
