Hot Take Eset Forums

Regarding activation questions, for example, Supervisors provide vague, inconclusive answers. In many instances users asked about storing activation keys two of them recently asked about keys purchased from StackSocial. Instead of giving users a conclusive answer, the supervisor implied and even stated that StackSocial is not an Eset reseller. The answers feel like a "threat" which tried to remove liability from Eset in case sth was wrong with the keys.
I think they don't want to take responsibility of any key that is purchased from an unauthorized seller which is understandable. That's why you got such a reply. The maximum they could do is check if the license is valid and if it's used by anyone else which you got from the support chat.
Another instance was about PUPs and problems likr incompatibility with Adguard Dekstop and Adguard VPN. The answers, again, never address the core issue and are desmissive as well.
If you meant the issue of ESET web protection not working with AdGuard VPN then a similar issue I reported to Bitdefender support via email a few years ago. Similar issue of BD web protection not working with a Firefox VPN extension. After few not so productive backs and forth emailing they simply said something like, using another network/security product with Bitdefender is not recommended and compatible. So, they will not do anything about it. The same thing is true for Avast and some VPN products/extension and AdGuard for Windows. AV products will not take the blame in such situations and may not even explain properly.
The chat support may do a better explanation if they have the answer since they can't just stop responding to a customer unlike forum support or support via email where there is a long delay between each reply.

My ESET forum experience is, let's say average. Not amazing, not awful.

So to end it with you as apparently you're sick and i do feel sorry for you
By making statements of fact makes a person sick not.

Eset provided support because I have a legit license not because they love me. That's a fact. What is also a fact is that I find you too annoying.
You're still missing the point, but you do reveal that all you care about is yourself and that you got what you wanted out of ESET whether or not you were entitled to it. You should thank ESET profusely for giving you "freebie" support.

Keep stating "facts". Mr know-all.
Read the ESET Terms of Service and User Agreements. It's there. You just need to put in the time and effort to educate yourself.

What you got: "You're expectations are wrong about the ESET forum. The ESET staff are not the problem. Your expectations are the problem."

ESET and its forum well, the forum is Marcos, and Marcos is King and Queen, always right and other people are wrong.
I will never post anything there, since he and him and i say it nicely, are not on one line.
The ESET forum is not meant for the type of support that many people assume or expect. That type of support is provided only via the official ESET support methods.

This is why I hate posting deals or giving advice, because people just ruin a good thing. Your going get the stacksocial seller blacklisted by asking these dumb repeated questions. The keys activate fine and have not been revoked, you knew this because I posted they did a month ago when I bought one and activated it and posted about it on this very forum. The ESET keys sold on stacksocial have been legit and activated fine since they have been offered 2+ years ago.

I don't think it works this way. The question now is not about the legitimacy of keys sold by SS as this was confirmed to be legit by Eset (the keys not SS), but it is about "storing the keys". Btw both questions are justified.

Any way I purchased another key that I am going to store till my current license expires. It is a risk I am willing to take.

This was my Applause to your post...."The ESET keys sold on stacksocial have been legit and activated fine since they have been offered 2+ years ago".

I believe other members confirmed that as well, as was my recent positive experience with them. The only thing I needed to do was to unsubscribe from their follow-up spam email offers.

If it was $100 USD for a license then ask away, I just don't see spending the effort in contacting support for $12 USD. Buy a key a find out, it's not going to send your broke.

I have no issues helping MT members, friends or family it's just you know some knob has seen this deal or found it and is reselling the keys on eBay for 3 * as much.

Stack Social is a marketplace platform for affiliates to shuck their wares and earn money. Stack Social is not an authorized seller of anything.

The keys sold/purchased there sometimes work - but their legitimacy and licensing chain are not guaranteed. Support for the software is not guaranteed just because the key activates (provides user permissions and functionality).

Some software customer support stating "The key you purchased is legit" means nothing. It certainly does not mean that a knowledgeable supervisor or manager with a working understanding of the publisher's terms of service and user agreements would permit that purchased key to remain activated.

Lots of keys sold on Stack Social are illegal. They are reported routinely as invalid, already-used, or deactivated.

Lots of keys sold on Stack Social that do activate are later revoked and deactivated by the software publisher.

To Stack Social's credit, it will refund the key buyer if there are problems with purchased keys. The people running Stack Social know that there's a lot of criminals on its platform selling illegal keys.

Those are the facts about Stack Social and the keys sold there.

Maybe I took a chance and it worked, but if I had only bought a 1 subscription (I bought 2) and it wouldn't have worked out, I wouldn't have been out of much$$. It essentially was the only way I was going to buy Eset, due to their high website prices, and especially Premium with LiveGuard.

I'm going to share my expereince with StackSOCIAL

I purchased the following

1- Koofr Lifetime 100 GB
2- Koofr Lifetime 1TB
3- AOMEI Backupper Lifetime 2 devices
4- Cylance
5- TidyTabs Lifetime
6- FileJump 2TB Lifetime
7- Swifdoo PDF Perpetual
8- Adguard Family Lifetime
9- Adguard VPN 5-year subscription.

All of the aforementioned product are legitimate and I received support from the vendors be it Koofr, or AOMEI or Adguard.

Regardibg SS Supoort, they are very responsive (usually less than 24 hours to reply) and it is helpful.

You are fortunate. Stack Social has a history of affiliates selling problem keys.

Just because you have had success on Stack Social does not mean others have had the same experience.

StackSocial is an affiliate platform. It goes without saying that "Buyer Beware" or Caveat Emptor. Even StackSocial provides warnings in its Terms of Service.

This is the key piece of information for a buyer you posted. They are pretty good with refunds for revoked or stolen keys, not perfect but good.

I would never buy anything over $20 on such platforms though, limit your loses and pay by credit card or PayPal and your protected in 99% of cases.

For $12USD it's worth a punt for a working ESET license. It's not going to send your broke if the key gets revoked or something happens.

Also previous ESET deals on stakcsocial have been problem free, if you add the key to ESET portal it only adds the 1 year 1 seat license, renewals are turned off.

No surprise that people are looking for exceptional deals on ESET software. The official store prices are cost prohibitive in my book, and savings are rarely amazing through authorized resellers.

One takeaway for me, though, is that it seems silly to make owning multiple activation codes more complicated than other companies. You can't stack subscriptions, you can't keep them on reserve, and they expire?

Yea I am talking about 9 or so purchases and I am fortunate?

I have just shared my experience. Of course I have my reservations, but my experience has been great so far.

Maybe it is due to how their license work which I don't know.

Norton for example merged my license many times. Trend Micro did the same. BD did the same, too. It was easy to stack up Bullguard and FSecure licenses without the need to contact support.

From my experience: I've not had a problem with any key I've bought from SS...If ever did I would live with it knowing the money I've saved in the past.
My experience too, I'd much rather buy from SS than a grey market seller like kinguin or eBay. The money saved is worth a punt, so far no issues.

If there are any problems just do a charge back, you pay credit card/PayPal fee's for a reason, when it goes wrong just charge back.
