Are these engines present now? Or over and done with.
It is essentially what I asked about in this thread. Feel free to follow-up in the thread to help get the question answered. The more people who ask, may help to get an answer? :)

Elsewhere on the internet the "new" F-Secure 25.X users are reporting Avira components in Task Manager.

Anyone here at MT seeing this? Would you please post images of the Avira components you find in Task Manager?

Also reported is the new F-Secure is blocking and auto-quarantining various programs such as autocad and, in particular Mullvad Browser. While restoring Mullvad Browser is easy and straightforward, doing the same with complex programs such as autocad is not so easy and creates a real headache - especially if the program is quarantined while performing work and the files are lost due to corruption.

Here you go.

edit: and you're right, F-Secure is still (not whitelisted yet?) blocking the Mullvad browser as a harmful file. It was installed, and when I opened Mullvad, it shut down after about 3 seconds. I did not receive a pop up notification from F-Secure, I had to open up the UI to see what it did. This didn't happen with the past 19. versions.

I was able to install if from my F-Secure portal account. Unfortunately, they do not have an offline installer.
Try doing a system tray icon right-click update and see if that works. And if needed try restarting your PC and trying that update again. It may take a day or two, as it could be a staged rollout to v25.2?

Or, uninstall your current version, restart your PC (allows you to delete leftover F-Secure folders), and allow hidden folders in Windows, and see if there are any folders left over. In these locations, Program files/Application data/ Users your PC name and Local. Delete those, then in Windows search type Run, then type temp in the search box. Delete all the files you can. Then do another Run search for %temp% and delete as many as you can. Empty the recycle bin, restart your PC and see if the v25.2 downloads and installs from your F-Secure account. But again, you could be on the back end of a staged roll out.

To update to 25.2 you must use Finnish VPN exit node.

F-Secure ALWAYS - ALWAYS - makes update releases to Finnish IP addresses first. Then it phases the update as a global rollout by geographic zone over a period of longer than 4 weeks.

I didn't realize it could take that long. I guess I've been fortunate in getting the build updates pretty quickly here in the central US.

I think they do it by X% of users per geographical area on a rolling basis. The value of X, I do not know. I have seen F-Secure take 3 weeks to update previously. But in all instances, all of Finland gets any updates first. Then Germany.

Are Family Rules the same as Parental Controls (they must be)? If it is, it looks like it's being discontinued.
From a post today:
