I do not think it has boot time protection per-se,like BD and others!!
I could be wrong though!!

F Secure is great may be little bit heavy but they DEEPGUARD behavior blocker and good PUP detection

Only thing I don't know why they don't add a fireall of its own

@scoob95: Because some developers experience issues to create their own firewall module to integrate on their product + considering the OS optimization so instead they use the Windows Firewall module for enhancement to add some related network protection to avoid possible attack. Overall WF make its more interactive through incoming and outgoing connections.
