F-Secure falls in the middle when it comes to anti-malware, with an inconsistent behavior blocker. It's puzzling to me why they oppose features like password protection, although many users have asked for it. There are far superior options on the market.

IMO, pre behavior blocker can be more important to me i.e. than it already running on my PC, would be this post.

F-Secure has very good web protection, as was also the case in @Shadowra's previous review. And since I'm by myself, and there are no other family members running amuck on my PC's, yes there can be and maybe is better, but in my case, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". From my previous post: My online experience is very limited, I usually hit about 6 favorite sites a day, and that's about it (besides links from here). No gaming, no torrenting, not a lot of downloads except a couple of utility software to check out every now and then.

Every antivirus program i've used slows down browsing (more or less) except MD and F-Secure. HTTP Scanning...don't know.
Eset, Avast, Bitdefender, Kaspersky (years ago). I test 3rd party antivirus just for 2-3 days before reinstall my Windows.

I agree with your observations. MB and Emsisofy, too, do not slow down browsing. But I should say that I had problems with Emsisoft extension in Firefox. It slowed down browsing but the issue was fixed. Trend Micro does not slow down browsing, Norton does not either.

It's very hard, almost impossible to catch virus, even if you are downloading torrents 24/7. There are many reliable torrent trackers. I have been pirating for over 15 years and never catch a virus. How I know? My paypal, steam, epic, gog, ubisoft, rockstar accounts are untouched plus MBAM, EEK, NPE, Sophos Scan and Clean finds nothing.
I don't understand how home users manage to infect their computers. OFC big companies, government and healthcare institutions etc are prime targets, but home users...If home user Y is a target I doubt that 3rd party antivirus would help much.

edit: Asus router - Enable AI Protection (Trend Micro) - UPnP - disabled, Web Access from WAN - Disabled, Ping from WAN - Disabled, DMZ - Disabled, Port Trigger - Disabled, Port Forwarding - Disabled, WPS - Disabled, Anonymous login to FTP share - Disabled, Guest Login for Samba - Disabled.
Changed DNS in router - Quad9. Ublock Origin Lite, Edge Smart Screen - enabled.

I read that it is good to enable this option:
Gpedit Windows components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus > Microsoft Defender Exploit Guard > Network protection >Enabled >Block.
