The FBI needs to start recruiting and training their own hackers. It is disheartening that they continually bust individuals just to have them perform tasks that the FBI is too incompetent to perform. There is no excuse for this. There are plenty of ethical cyber wizards out there, so the Feds don't need to put convicted cyber criminals and punks on a lofty pedestal. It reminds me of the movie "Catch Me If You Can"---you can only recruit like that so many times until it is obvious that your M.O. is to reward criminal activity.

'An influential computer hacker turned FBI informant led investigators to his former accomplices, helping federal agents make their first significant crack into Anonymous, a cybergroup that attacks corporate and government websites.'

Good news, thank you.

Anonymous got (gets) on my nerves more than the WORST cyber criminals out there because they tried to portray a legit and helpful image of themselves as it might have pertained to some of their actions. I have more respect for the worst of cyber criminals out there as a result. I never have liked brown-nosers, or those that reward their deceptive demeanor.
