Question Firewalls with Block-Ask functionality

I'm looking for suggestions for a firewall (standalone or AV package) that has Block-Ask functionality. Added bonus if it can grant temporary/timed connections.
Avast is up for renewal in 7 days and is already bombarding me with annoyances so I'm open to replacing the entire AV or using an AV & standalone option.

You might want to consider ZoneAlarm Free Firewall. It has robust Block-Ask functionality and offers temporary/timed connections. For a complete AV package, Bitdefender Total Security also includes a strong firewall with similar features. Both options should meet your needs.

Eset has a very good firewall with an easy to use rules editor for my taste, there is a learning mode and an on-demand only mode, but no temporary rules.
