Methodology
To check detection of 15 most popular free virus scanners provided by numerous producers,
we prepared image of Windows 7 x64 + SP1 system, which were restored after every
program test, so all products were tested in same environment. VirusSign provided 1000
samples that contain trojans, viruses, backdoors, worms, keyloggers and other malware.
During test all programs were installed on default settings and have access to internet. Test
was prosecuted on 7 October 2014.
