Have yo tried to activate it?
Usually it will be blacklisted on activation.
My experience has been when you activate or update it will be blacklisted.
Especially when the instructions on how to bypass the geo-specific promotion are plastered all over the internet.

I tried it on a VM and it activates and updates successfully. After some minutes it just warns me that it can't access Live Grid (aka ESET cloud module) so it's useless for me an AV without cloud reputation services.
